A nice simple recipe for you guys today! I have been buying natural protein bars as snacks lately and so needed to come up with a homemade MUCH cheaper alternative!

These bars are all natural and a delicious snack option for when your on the go and saves you from buying crappy pre-made bars! I have included the nutritional info after the recipe but keep in mind the protein content will vary based on what brand you use. You could also use vanilla flavoured protein too.

Choc Coconut Protein Bars

1/2 cup roasted almonds

10 medjool dates

1/2 cup dried cherries

3 serves of chocolate vegan protein powder

1/4 cup almond butter

2 tbsp cacao powder

1/3 cup desiccated coconut

pinch salt

1 tsp vanilla

1/4 cup water

  1. Place all ingredients apart from the water into a food processor and blend until crumbly and combined
  2. Add the water and blend again until sticky- each protein powder is different so if your mixture is not sticky enough add some more water
  3. Press mixture into a lined tin and place into the fridge
  4. Slice up into 12 bars and store in the fridge!

Approximate Nutritional Info Per Bar (when you make 12)
