The change of seasons means one thing, cold and flu season is back. It is more important then ever this time of year to ensure you are including adequate vitamins and minerals into your diet, and that doesn’t mean taking extra multivitamins!

Don’t wait until you feel the cold symptoms coming on to whip up this juice combo, it can be both preventative and help with symptoms of the common cold!

I am fairly new to the amazingness that is turmeric. It is the root of the Curcuma longa plant and looks similar to ginger but is a vibrant yellow colour. You have probably heard of it being used in curries but it works well in citrus based juices and smoothies too! Although there has not been too many in depth studies done on the health benefits of turmeric, it has been suggested that it can help with joint function, skin health and digestive issues.

Ginger is amazing for easing digestive issues and is believed to have anti-inflammatory qualities that may relieve swelling and pain. It has also been found to ease sore throats, headaches and coughs. Perfect if your feeling under the weather!

I’m sure you’ve all heard the line ‘eat the rainbow’ eating a wide range of different coloured foods means you are eating a wide range of different vitamins and minerals! Orange foods contain beta carotene which is not only good for eye health but has been said to delay cognitive aging and protect skin from sun damage!

As you can tell, this juice is absolutely brimming with health benefits.
