Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Balls

These should come with a serious warning as they are addictive! There are certainly worse things to become addicted too. considering these are chock full of protein and healthy fats minus any gluten or fructose, and with very minimal sugar!

I used LSA to create these babies which is a mixture of linseed (flaxseed), sunflower seeds and almonds. Each of these ingredients are powerhouses on their own making these little balls  nutrition packed and perfect for after a workout or when those mid afternoon cravings hit! You can buy LSA in bags in most supermarkets or health stores or you can grind your own in a food processor!

LSA is a rich source of protein, which enables it to help keep your blood sugar levels balanced, while also reducing any sugar cravings, a major plus! It contains  omega-3 fats to help promote a healthy heart and brain function, and boosts bone and skin health thanks to its many vitamins and minerals, including vitamin A, E, D and B, calcium, zinc and magnesium. It also plays a role in lowering cholesterol levels which can be another big bonus for many people. It even aids in cleansing the liver! Who would guess you could get so many health benefits from just a few tablespoons of this mix!

Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Bites

  • 1 cup natural peanut butter (ensure the only ingredient is peanuts!)
  • 1 1/2 cups LSA
  • 1-2 tbsp honey
  • 1/4 cup choc chips of choice (could use dairy free, sugar free or even cacao nibs!)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • sprinkle salt
  1.  Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix well. It will be quite thick, I used my hands to mix! If the mix is too sticky just add more LSA.
  2. Roll out into balls of a size of your choosing
  3. Store in the fridge

Another easy recipe for a nutritious and delicious snack! Enjoy!
